Berlin

As you can see from the first picture those are the wounds that i got from getting a bit overexcited in the museum in Goteborg, but what is worse is just after this picture was taken on this amazing night train that we took i fell over again! It was such an amazing train though, the water came in specially designed cartons and had this amazing blue lighting, anyway we were all excited and then we realised that the train hadnt moved for a while and it was because we were on a ferry! we ran upstairs to the deck through some weird secret door and as we got to the top it was like we were on the titantic. I started to skip a little and the next thing i knew i was on the floor my knee and then my head had hit the deck pretty hard, there was a moment of silence and then i laughed especially as as i got up i saw a sign that said do not run deck may be slippery - well thanks! so now i looked like a real child with two grazed knees a bump on the head and two more cuts on my elbows and side and it was only our 3rd country out of 9! Anyway we arrived in Berlin at 6am and our train to Prague was at 5pm so we had 11 hours and we did so much... the Reichstag building, brandenburg gate, the jewish memorial, a cool market that we stumbled accross and saw some of the world athletics which was being held there (bolt broke the world record for 100m in Berlin at 9.58 secs), then the cathedreal with a really cool fountain which we cooled off in, then it was the jewish museum and then back, it was an intense but incredible day.We were all happy to sit on the train for a few hours!

Ok so Transcribing is an awful thing to have to do, but as part of the Transatlantic Design project we have all had to do some and tonight I completed mine I AM SO HAPPY! To explain how long it takes below I have broken it down for you...

Goteborg

Sweden was a really beautiful place, It was so sunny yet had a hidden chill in the air which i soon found out about when i went the first day in just a tshirt and shorts! We took a train from Copenhagen to sweden and everytime you travel you are kind of sad to have to leave it but sweden really proved to me that you always have to look forward as you never know what or who is around the corner! We finally arrived with only an address and no map, it was only a 10 minute walk though so how far wrong can you go? well an hour and a half wrong with huge backpacks on your backs is how. and then we find our guest house is a tiny door in a main street with an even smaller name on the buzzer for us to call! we were all relieveed to just eb able to get to sleep though. The lady we were staying with was a little strange but cool - she was a desgner who had worked for IKEA which i thought was pretty cool! Anyway we were there to see the Way out West festival which was amazing we saw...Arctic Monkeys, Wilco, Bon Iver, Band Of Horses, Beirut, Antony and the Johnsons, Glasvegas, Florence & The Machine and Royksopp! It was my first festival and I LOVED IT! We also met 3 amazing people (the three musketeers - Roma, Riccardo and Filippo. They were great guys who i ended up riding on the back of a bike with, sneaking into a party in this amazing art museum and simply having a great time with! il miss those guys! Sweden also had amazing museums including the Universeum which had a real rainforest and shark enclosure in it!! I got a bit over excited and ended up falling over and i still have the grazes to prove it! There was also this amazing art museum where Laura Suzanne and I danced on stage to Bollywood music. It was prob one of my favourite places and I cannot wait to go back.

Copenhagen

This was an amazing place, we couch surfed with a great guy called Ramus, and he helped us decide what to do as we only had two days and one night here. So it really was a quick visit, but it is a beautiful place. We took a river boat seeing all the sites such as the black diamond which is there stunning library and the gold church which was so high up and I literally went right to the top. We also visited the design centre and the national museum which had some beautiful exhibitions. The best part has to be Tivoli though it is like no theme park iv been to in the way that it is simply so beautiful, the detailing is immaculate, everything has been thought about, including the small tiled floors, the tiny fairy lights that glitter like stars all over. We spent all evening there and didn't leave until it closed, I had candy-floss and popcorn and then watched an amazing light show over the lake in the park it was simply magnificent, one of my highlights of the trip.
