Chicago
It was a bit of a last minute thing but im so glad we booked it as Chicago was really amazing. We got a coach at 7am and then by 3pm we were in Chicago and straight away we were exploring.... We started on Friday with a german christmas market then ice skating in millennium park (which was eventful as we found out alice had a very starnge and not so successful skating technique hehe), seeing the bean, listening to a gospel choir, eating dinner, missing our train back to naperville and having to wait an hour for the next one! Then Saturday we started off with the Field museum which was amazing loads of stuffed animals and dinosaurs :) then we travelled to the Museum of Contemporary Art which was really great then off to the Water Tower which was a bit mad but a good experience before walking down the Magnificent mile of huge shops. Pizza dinner then watched "The Dark Knight" at the imax theatre at Navy Pier which was amazing but yet again we missed our tain back to naperville so had to kill another hour in union square station it was becoming our good friend already! The last day Alice and I went up sears tower where i lost my furry hat it was sad but all worked out ok as a lovely worker went back up to the 103rd floor to find it for me :) after i was reunited with my hat we took the subway to wicker park where we had a relaxed day exploring thrift stores and little shops before again finding ourselves in Union station for an hour waiting for our bus back to minneapolis. So it was a really lovely trip full of smiles and fun and its left me with way too much to do before Finals this week but it was definately worth it and i will just smile through it all :)
