Vienna

Again Vienna, we were only here for the day and we arrived later in the evening, so I took my camera and we thought we would just have a wonder, we found this interesting museum quarter which had these cool geometric yellow seats which were surprisingly comfortable. I then went to take a picture and realised that my camera wasn't working the shutter wasn't closing properly so all my photos had a huge black line through them, anyway surprisingly i kept calm and now im home im trying to get it fixed :( anyway nick was kind enough to lend me his digital camera so all was not lost :) I was feeling a little down so we went to get ice-cream and the man in the shop was hilarious i asked for 2 scoops and he let me chose 5! i had chocolate, banana, raspberry, blackberry and mint choc chip yummmmy it was actually amazing and he put the smile back on my face. The next day the sun was out and we had a great day wondering and exploring the city, we snuck into the national library, and took a peak at teh butterfly house and all the stunning museums with huge impressive doors, we saw so much including this beautiful church and a market with so many amazing smells and tastes, we also went to this stunning palace called shronbrunn, its garden were literally breathtaking. nick and I climbed to the top of the view point in the intense heat but it was well worth it, i felt blown away, i could have wondered and got lost in those gardens for hours, but we had to head back as we were leaving for Rome very soon! It was a short but really pleasant trip just walking around finding tiny little shops and beautiful streets, I would love to go back.

Prague - Praha

haha, praha was a small joke that went on and on in prague, but there was loads of fun that we had in prague. This time when we arrived off the train it really was only a 20 minute journey which we found first time yay. Our hostel was really nice too with really lovely people. We explored the old town and even went to prague castle which was great and so pretty, the views were so picturesque, its a place where everything seems pretty. We even went to see swan lake which was a cool experience and then after we went on a pub crawl with all our hostel mates which was great except all the creepy men that seemed to circle us girls, hmm but we survived and after a near 2 hour walk home slightly intoxicated we found our hostel again! We also went to the new town and to a great market and had a lovely meal all together as it was the only country so far we could actually afford real food! It was a cool city with a lot to see but its important to also just enjoy yourself as you cant see everything, we spent one afternoon sleeping and chilling in a really pretty park hmm that was the life.

Summer Project





I am really interested by this summer project however I am not finding the creating of the posters the same. My aim is to create posters which are obviously physical that then have a link to a site where you can read the full article on the internet. There will be quotes (snippets from the main piece) on each poster and the idea is to explore the thought that we need both the net and real life in order to be really creative and that the internet is a powerful tool but might not always be the most appropriate one. The need for both poster and the internet to view this project fully reiterates my point.
However Im not sure that aesthetically at the moment these posters are working and if anyone reads this I would be really grateful for your advice.

Berlin

As you can see from the first picture those are the wounds that i got from getting a bit overexcited in the museum in Goteborg, but what is worse is just after this picture was taken on this amazing night train that we took i fell over again! It was such an amazing train though, the water came in specially designed cartons and had this amazing blue lighting, anyway we were all excited and then we realised that the train hadnt moved for a while and it was because we were on a ferry! we ran upstairs to the deck through some weird secret door and as we got to the top it was like we were on the titantic. I started to skip a little and the next thing i knew i was on the floor my knee and then my head had hit the deck pretty hard, there was a moment of silence and then i laughed especially as as i got up i saw a sign that said do not run deck may be slippery - well thanks! so now i looked like a real child with two grazed knees a bump on the head and two more cuts on my elbows and side and it was only our 3rd country out of 9! Anyway we arrived in Berlin at 6am and our train to Prague was at 5pm so we had 11 hours and we did so much... the Reichstag building, brandenburg gate, the jewish memorial, a cool market that we stumbled accross and saw some of the world athletics which was being held there (bolt broke the world record for 100m in Berlin at 9.58 secs), then the cathedreal with a really cool fountain which we cooled off in, then it was the jewish museum and then back, it was an intense but incredible day.We were all happy to sit on the train for a few hours!
